Love God, Share Christ, and Make Disciples

This is our mission at New Life. We strive to keep these three core actions of loving God, sharing Christ and making disciples at the heart of everything we do.

Loving God

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’"  Matt. 22:37

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."  1 John 4:9-12

Our love to God is powered by His initial love toward us. He displayed the ultimate kind of love in that while we weren't even thinking of Him and living our own lives apart from Him, He sent His only son to die for us. It is when we realize this great love God has for us that enables us to love Him and one another. Loving one another is how we practically love Him and show that we are God's people. It is our highest goal to love one another with the same love God showed us.

Sharing Christ

Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."  Matt .11:28

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."

John 3:16-18

As believers in Christ we are in relationship with Him and are witnesses to the fact that He alone meets our every need and gives us every spiritual blessing. In Him we are truly complete and totally fulfilled. It is our driving passion to make this known to everyone. Jesus not only died in our place, therefore rescuing us from our sin and disobedience, He also rose from the dead after three days, proving Himself to be the sinless Son of God. God gave Him all authority in heaven and earth and Jesus sent us out into the world to spread this good news. It's such good news too because the one with all authority is the One who laid down His life for you and for us all. How wonderful it is to know that we just need to believe in Him to be saved and have eternal life. We share this truth boldly and with great joy!

You can know Jesus too. "If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He rose from the dead you will be saved." Rom. 10:9

Making Disciples

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"  Matt. 28:18-20 (bolding added)

The Bible teaches that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. It is God's free gift to us. There are no added works or rituals that must take place in order to be saved. The Bible also teaches that Jesus came to give us fullness of life (John 10:10). In order to experience all that He has for us, we must put His teachings into practice. It is our goal to grow more and more in devotion to Christ and His teachings in every aspect of ministry at New LIfe so that we give God all the glory in everything.
